A few days away from my normal routine somehow became two freaking weeks.
What I learned wasn’t that I needed more discipline—it was how much our habits, surroundings, small pleasures and the way we feel about ourselves quietly influence the choices we make every day.

Apparently, I’m taller in the morning. Or at least my rearview mirror seems to think so. What started as a funny little observation turned into something much bigger about posture, energy, midlife, identity, and the strange moment when things that once fit us suddenly don’t anymore.
